1. Hey little lady, tell everyone a little bit more about yourself.
Hi! My name is Christna Stubbs, and I am 23 years old. I am currently a Senior at the University of the Bahamas, pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in English.
I love serving, writing, reading, and dance.
However, my greatest passion in life is my relationship with Jesus-- drawing closer to Him, learning about what it means to be His follower, and sharing His love with the world.
2. If you could describe a lady in three words what would they be?
Humble. Gentle. Kind.
3. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you this of the word ‘lady’?
Honestly, whenever I hear the word “lady”, I always go back to 1 Peter 3:3-4 when Peter speaks directly to Christian women. He instructs them to not be concerned about outward beauty, but to clothe themselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. This is what God requires of us women--and this is what comes to mind when I think of lady; a woman who is clothed with the inner beauty that is cultivated only through her relationship with the Lord. A woman with a gentle and quiet spirit.
4. State one reason why you think being a lady is important.
I feel that this is important because today as women we are often pressured to conform, and because of that it’s hard for a lot of women to live up to God’s standards of womanhood that Peter sets up for us in 1 Peter 3:3-4. As Christian young women, it’s important that we maintain those standards so that other young women can have someone to look up to, and as a result, be less inclined to submit to the world’s standard of womanhood.
5. What's something you would like to say to all the little ladies out there?
I would really just want to encourage you young beautiful women to seek Jesus. I believe that in order to be a true lady, we must cultivate the inner beauty that comes only through a relationship with Him. Jesus is closer than the very breath that you breathe and He is in love with you! (Let that truth sink in!) Submit to Him, and He will do the miraculous in your life.
