- Hey Little Lady, tell us about yourself.
My name is Gabbriella Butler. I am a 23 year old young lady with a passion for helping others in their personal and professional development. I am currently employed at Family Guardian Insurance Company and my professional goal is to someday work as a Human Resource Manager of a progressive firm. Currently I serve as the Social and Special Events Coordinator for my church's Youth Group. I recently served as a youth member of parliament during the Bahamas National Youth Month with responsibilities to present speeches and offer solutions on relevant topics concerning young people. I graduated summa cum laude from the HBCU Bethune-Cookman University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations where I was able to intern with the university’s Office of Public Relations. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University and expected to graduate in June 2017.
I am also the founder of Ladies of E.L.E.G.A.N.C.E. a faith based organization which aims to strengthen, encourage and provide networking opportunities for young professional ladies out to make a difference. Its purpose is to guide young women ages 18-30 to strive for moral excellence while building strong character traits. My hobbies include swimming, volunteering where there is a need, and spending quality time family.
2. If you could describe a lady in three words what would they be?
If I could describe a lady in three words it would be elegant, ambitious, and godly
3. Why do you consider yourself to be a lady?
I consider myself to be lady because of the way I carry myself and the values that I have. I strive to be a lady of virtue, and excellence, who is guided by Godly principles, thus lives by Christian standards.
4. State one reason why you think being a lady is important.
I think being a lady is important because you are treated by the way you conduct yourself. A lady is concerned about her deportment and character. Not only is she a woman of excellence, but she lives by high ideals and attempts to be exemplary in whatever she does. A lady puts emphasis on inner strength and beauty while she strives to develop qualities such as integrity, discipline, and concern for others. She realizes that inner beauty is much more important than outer beauty.
5. One thing you would like to say to all the little ladies out there?
I would like to encourage all the little ladies to respect others and to respect themselves. This involves being mannerly to everyone, both old and young and exhibiting behaviors that are admired by others. I want to encourage young ladies and little ladies to always be themselves. Additionally, I would admonish them to be involved in positive activities that will help them to grow physically and spiritually. Finally, I want all the little ladies out there to know that they are so special, they have so much potential and they were born to lead and make a difference.
