Love & Relationships

A letter to the Hopeless Romantic

Dear Hopeless Romantic,

I know that you've been thinking. I know that you've been wanting. I know that you've been chasing. Love. Everything about it fascinates you and drives you to want it more and more and more. You ask yourself, how can a word so small be so powerful? How can I be so obsessed with something so  intangible? My hopeless romantic I want you to know that you are not alone. I need you to know that I was once you. I say 'once you' not to mean that being a hopeless romantic is a bad thing but sad to say my love it isn't a good thing either.

The Perfect Gift

It's Christmas time and everyone is focused on the hustle and bustle of buying gifts and preparing for celebrations. Although I don't subscribe to a busy Christmas  nor go crazy over  gifts I enjoy watching others enjoy it. Giving a gift to a loved one has become a season tradition that no one is trying to break anytime soon. So, with that said,

What are you going to get for your boo?

You are loving him so wrong!

Hey Little Ladies,

Last month was a flashback month for me and it allowed me to look back on the past year. I underwent a lot of self-reflection, particularly, in the realm of relationships. Now, I haven't had

New Prescription!

Hey Little Ladies!!

Now, this post comes from the heart. I mean the deepest part of my heart. I think I can safely assume that all of us have been sick before. I can also assume that all of us have taken medication before. Sometimes this medication had to be issued by means of a prescription. Sometimes these prescriptions are only valid for a certain period of time. Let's say a month or two weeks and in some instances they even state "one or two refills only". Ok, ok let me get to the point of this post.

But before I do, let me ask you all this one question have you ever been sick and tired of being sick and tired? Let me you tell you, I certainly have! As I've mentioned in previous posts all women have a breaking point but honestly who ever wants to reach it? So I decided to write this post for all the ladies who have been using the same prescription with their relationship over and over even though you know :

  1. You greatly exceeded your amount of refills!
  2. You've outgrown the 'meds' prescribed!
  3. The medication prescribed expired a very long time ago!

Love & Relationships tend to be a very important part of a woman's life, thus, we spend a vast amount of time reading, learning and testing these theories on love. I've seen oh too many unhealthy relationships where the women just simply don't know they need a new prescription. A prescription is simply a written directive for the preparation, administration of a remedy to a sickness. Why am I comparing relationships to prescriptions and sickness? Because they have that much power to make you mentally, physically and spiritually sick. No one truly ever wants to be sick and we do our best not to physically so why not put just as much effort with our relationships. But we all know things happens and let's just say you do find yourself  in an unhealthy relationship needing a remedy. Well, I made it my duty to try and help you out to the best of my abilities.  That's what little ladies do; help each other when we can.

Disclaimer Alert: I am by no means a licensed love & relationship expert. I just observe and learn a lot and I mean A LOT!

I simply got tired of observing the outbreak of destructive relationships. So I took points from my past failed relationships and a few others whose prescriptions have expired and those who need a new one point blank. My post wouldn't be complete without some tips; as I truly believe they are useful to look back at whenever you want to. But first thing first! Just as you would if you visited your doctor I would need to know your symptoms before anything can be prescribed. So take a look at the following pictures and see which prescription best fits you and your symptoms of  'unhealthyrealtionshipia' ( lol i made that up obviously).

Little Lady, were you successful in getting a new prescription or were you even able to get an extended refill? Did that hiccup or headache in your relationship subside as yet? Either way I'm so happy you got a relationship checkup and made sure to find a remedy as soon as possible.Like I said before I'm nowhere close to a 'love doctor' but I believe together we can make it through this journey called womanhood one relationship tip at a time.

A Little lady who gets a checkup every now & then!
